Recently I made a bunch of pins to promote voting, especially during the current November 3rd Statewide General Election. If you received one of these pins and followed the URL on the side, welcome!
There are a ton of propositions, measures, and political hopefuls on the ballots, so I encourage everyone to set some time aside to do research and become an informed voter.
For those of you that live in the Inland Empire, you can find information on the General Election through your registrar's office:
Riverside County: voteinfo.net
San Bernardino County: elections.sbcounty.gov
Through the Secretary of State's website:
California Secretary of State: sos.ca.gov/elections
And for UCR students specifically:
UCR Votes: vote.ucr.edu
As for the story behind the pins, there isn't much. A while back I took some cheesy pictures of my sister's cat (Darwin) and I had been looking for some fun way to show them to the world.
If you received a pin, I hope you wear it proudly whenever or wherever you vote and I hope to see ya out there!
